Salted Caramel Apple Spice
Updated: Dec 22, 2020
Who needs Starbucks when you can create your own?! And better! This iced salted caramel apple spice will make you FALL in love!
I worked at Starbucks for 8 years and fell in love with making drinks. They have a hot caramel apple spice, where the apple juice is steamed. I decided to create an iced version, and instead of just adding whip on top, I frothed heavy cream and confectioners' sugar until it became a thick froth. I used my Zulay Kitchen frother, which you can buy HERE and get 10% off your order using my code SHALYSSASEATZ10.
Chilled apple juice
Small scoop of crushed ice
1-2 tbsp cinnamon dolce syrup
A pinch of salt
1 tbsp cinnamon and sugar mixed
Whipped cream to top
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp confectioners' sugar
Make your froth. Froth milk and confectioners’ sugar for about 20 minutes. Make sure you are doing it at an angle and moving the frother up and down to get it super frothy.
Get a cup and fill with a scoop of crushed ice. Lace the cup with caramel sauce and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on the sides.
Fill the cup with chilled apple juice 1 inch from the top.
Pour your froth on top, followed by whipped cream. Top whipped cream with caramel sauce, cinnamon sugar, and a pinch of salt.
